Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro is gearing up for a challenging game against Sierra Leone’s Leone Stars. The three-time African champions will be taking on the Leone Stars at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Stadium in Monrovia on Sunday.
The Super Eagles have previously had closely contested encounters with the Leone Stars, drawing 4-4 in Benin City in November 2020 and battling to a 0-0 draw in Freetown. Peseiro recognizes the strength of the Sierra Leonean team and anticipates a difficult game.
“We have to be at our best organization and commitment and play a collective game against them,” Peseiro said. “Sierra Leone are a good team and they only beat us to stand a chance of qualifying for the AFCON.”
