AC Milan Cool Interest In Chukwueze, Seek Alternative

AC Milan’s pursuit of a new winger has taken a different turn as they shift their attention to FC Midtjylland’s talented player, Gustav Tang Isaksen. The Italian giants had initially set their sights on Samuel Chukwueze, but a few issues have hindered the potential transfer.

One of the main stumbling blocks is Chukwueze’s status as a non-EU player. AC Milan currently have only one available spot in their squad for a player without a European Union passport, which they have already filled with the signing of Ruben Loftus-Cheek from Chelsea.

In addition to the work permit concerns, Villarreal, Chukwueze’s LaLiga club, has been unwilling to lower their asking price. Despite the winger having just one year left on his contract, the Yellow Submarine is holding out for a hefty €30m fee.

Considering these factors, AC Milan is now reportedly turning their attention towards Isaksen as a potential alternative. However, they will face competition from Serie A rivals Juventus for the highly-rated winger.

Isaksen had an impressive season with Midtjylland, contributing 22 goals and nine assists in 45 competitive games. His performances have caught the attention of top European clubs, and now AC Milan and Juventus are vying for his signature.

Although Milan’s pursuit of Chukwueze has hit a roadblock, the club remains determined to bolster their attacking options. Isaksen has emerged as a viable alternative, and the Rossoneri will now enter the race against Juventus to secure the services of the talented winger.
