Bayern Munich President sheds light on Osimhen links

As the summer transfer window heats up, one name that has been on the lips of many football fans and pundits is Victor Osimhen. The Nigerian striker had a fantastic season with Napoli, scoring 31 goals in 39 appearances and helping the Italian side to their first Serie A title in over three decades.

With such performances, it is no surprise that top clubs across Europe, including Bayern Munich, have been linked with the 24-year-old. However, the German champions’ president, Herbert Hainer, has revealed that the club is yet to make a decision on who they will sign as their new striker this summer.

Hainer acknowledged that Osimhen is one of the names on their list, but he also mentioned other players such as Kolo Muani, Harry Kane, and Vlahovic. The Bayern Munich president also stressed that the club would be cautious in their approach, considering the high cost of acquiring a top striker.

Osimhen’s price tag is reported to be around €150million, a sum that Bayern Munich has never paid for a player before. The Bavarian giants have been in need of a top striker since Robert Lewandowski left the club for Barcelona last summer, leaving Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting as their only target man.

Osimhen’s potential move to Bayern Munich would no doubt be a significant boost for the Nigerian striker, who has shown that he can perform at the highest level. However, it remains to be seen whether the German side will be willing to part with such a substantial amount of money for his services.

In conclusion, Victor Osimhen has been heavily linked with a move to Bayern Munich this summer, but the German champions are yet to make a final decision on who they will sign as their new striker. The Nigerian’s price tag may prove to be a stumbling block, but his performances last season have shown that he is a top-class player who can excel at any top club.
