Report: Belgian Champions to pay Amiens ₦6billion for 16-year-old Lagos-born sensation who loves Mbappe

At just 16 years old, George Ilenikhena is already making waves in the world of football. The Nigerian-born striker has caught the attention of some of Europe’s biggest clubs with his impressive performances for French team Amiens.

According to Sporty9ja, Belgian champions Royal Antwerp are set to pay €6.5million for the youngster’s signature. The deal, which will last for four years, is a testament to Ilenikhena’s potential and skill on the pitch.

Ilenikhena’s rise to fame began in the lower leagues of French football, where he scored five goals in just ten games for Amiens’ junior team in the N3 – Hauts-de-France. He then joined the senior team, where he scored two goals in 16 appearances in the French Ligue 2.

His performances have not gone unnoticed, with some of Europe’s biggest clubs showing interest in the young striker. Olympique Marseille and Lyon are among the clubs rumored to have been tracking Ilenikhena’s progress.

However, it is Royal Antwerp who have won the race to sign the promising youngster. The deal is expected to be worth €6.5million and will see Ilenikhena join the Belgian champions for the next four years.

Ilenikhena, who was born in Lagos, Nigeria, moved to France with his parents when he was just three years old. He has already played for France at youth level but is still eligible to switch his allegiance to Nigeria.
