Akwa United Football Club has begun their pre-season training programme in Uyo, preparing for the upcoming 2023-24 Nigeria Premier Football League season. The first training session was supervised by coach Effiong Moses (MON), assisted by coach Umar Abdullahi and coach Edward Edemekong at the Uyo township stadium, where 20 players took part in some fitness drills aimed at conditioning their muscular strength and cardio-vascular endurance.
As the Promise Keepers hope to continue their training at the same venue throughout this week, other first team players and technical staff are expected to join the camp later this week. With the new season around the corner, Akwa United are gearing up to get back to their winning ways and compete for the title.
Fatai Osho is expected to be named the new head coach of the former Nigeria Premier League champions. As the team prepares for the new season, they will be looking to their new coach to lead them to success and help them reach their goals.
As the pre-season training continues, Akwa United will be working on building their team chemistry and improving their skills on the field. With hard work, dedication, and the right coaching, they are confident that they will have a successful season and bring home the championship. Stay tuned for updates on their progress as they continue their pre-season training in Uyo.
