Chelsea Eager To Offer Four Players To Inter In Swap Deal For Onana

Chelsea FC is reportedly set to offer four players to Inter Milan in exchange for the services of Cameroonian goalkeeper, Andre Onana. The 27-year-old goalkeeper has impressed during Inter’s march to the 2022/2023 Champions League final, and his exceptional distribution skills are exactly what new Stamford Bridge manager, Mauricio Pochettino, is looking for in a shot-stopper.

Onana held Erling Haaland at bay in Manchester City’s Champions League victory, and though he was edged out by an inch-perfect shot from Rodri, the Cameroon star’s performance caught the attention of Chelsea. Following Inter Milan’s loss to Man City, Onana kept his options open but gave the impression he would support whatever Inter decided.

According to the Mirror, Chelsea plans to present Romelu Lukaku, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Trevoh Chalobah, and Kalidou Koulibaly as options to Inter during negotiations. Inter, where Lukaku recently spent the season on loan, is struggling to pay his weekly salary of £325,000, but it is believed that he is holding out for a move back to the San Siro. He has also been linked with a lucrative move to Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia.

Inter representatives are expected in London this week to explore a £50 million deal for Onana, and the goalkeeper’s future remains in the balance. But, with his exceptional distribution skills, he could prove to be a valuable addition to Chelsea’s squad as they look to compete in the upcoming season.
