Dessers inching closer to Cremonese exit

Scottish Premiership side Rangers are set to sign Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers from Italian club Cremonese, according to Soccernet.ng. The 28-year-old forward joined Cremonese from Genk last summer for €6.5million, but was unable to prevent the club’s relegation from Serie A. Dessers contributed six goals and two assists in 26 appearances for the Grigiorossi. However, with Cremonese looking to cut their losses, Rangers are reportedly close to agreeing a deal worth €5million for the Belgian-born striker. If the transfer goes through, Dessers would become one of Rangers’ most expensive signings, with a three-year contract expected.
