In a surprising turn of events, new Galatasaray signing Wilfried Zaha has revealed that he sought advice from former Chelsea and Ivory Coast legend, Didier Drogba, before making his move to Turkey. Zaha, who recently turned down a contract offer from Crystal Palace, had been expected to remain in the Premier League. However, he has now signed a three-year deal with Galatasaray.

Zaha expressed his excitement about the prospect of playing in the UEFA Champions League for the first time in his career. He stated that his primary goal is to contribute to Galatasaray’s success and help the club win titles.

When asked about his decision to join Galatasaray, Zaha revealed that he had consulted with some of his friends who have had experience playing for the Turkish side. One of those friends is Patrick Van Aanholt, who also made the move to Galatasaray. However, it was the advice from Didier Drogba that particularly influenced Zaha’s decision.

According to Zaha, Drogba spoke highly of his time at Galatasaray and described it as an amazing experience. Zaha eagerly anticipates stepping onto the pitch and witnessing the atmosphere at the club firsthand.
