Enugu Rangers, one of Nigeria’s most successful professional football clubs, have recruited three new players ahead of the second round of the abridged 2022/23 Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) season. The new players, who have all been signed on undisclosed terms, are expected to strengthen the squad and help Enugu Rangers push for a top-four finish.
The new signings are defender Chidi Osuchukwu, midfielder Uche Nnoruka and striker Francis Onyekachi. All three players have previous experience of playing in the NPFL and are expected to make an immediate impact on the Enugu Rangers team.
The defender, Osuchukwu, joins from Akwa United, where he enjoyed a successful spell with the team. He is a solid presence at the back and is known for his tackling, marking and anticipation.
The midfielder, Nnoruka, arrives from Abia Warriors, where he has been an integral part of the team’s midfield. He is a creative presence in the middle of the park and is known for his ability to spray passes across the pitch.
Finally, the striker, Onyekachi, joins from FC Ifeanyi Ubah. He is a clinical finisher and is known for his ability to create chances with his movement and link-up play.
The new signings are a welcome addition to the Enugu Rangers squad and will no doubt help the team push for a top-four finish. The club is also looking to bolster its squad in other positions and is expected to make further signings in the coming weeks.
The second round of the NPFL kicks off in April, and Enugu Rangers will be hoping the new recruits can help them achieve their objective of a top-four finish.
