Serie A giants AC Milan set sights on Super Eagles wing wizard

Kelechi Iheanacho, Leicester City’s Player of the Season, has caught the attention of Premier League clubs Everton and Burnley. The striker’s team was relegated to the Championship in the 2020-21 season, and the Foxes may be looking to offload him in the coming months. While Nottingham Forest has been previously linked to Iheanacho, the latest reports from TribalFootball show that Everton and Burnley have entered the race for his signature.

Last season, Iheanacho scored five goals in the Premier League for Leicester City, but it is his record in the English FA Cup that has truly elevated his profile. He proudly stands as Nigeria’s all-time leading goalscorer in the tournament, with 18 goals in 26 appearances, ranking ninth overall.

As the competition for Iheanacho’s services intensifies, the striker finds himself at the center of attention. If he joins Everton, he would share the same dressing room with international teammate Alex Iwobi. Iwobi has been with the Toffees since the summer of 2019, joining from Arsenal for over 30 million euros.

Despite his team’s relegation, Iheanacho’s scoring prowess has not gone unnoticed. Everton and Burnley have emerged as the latest contenders for the striker’s signature, and it remains to be seen where he will end up in the coming months.
