Kano Pillars Football Club has officially announced the appointment of Abdullahi Maikaba as their new Technical Adviser. Maikaba, an experienced tactician in the world of football coaching, has signed a two-year contract with the club, known as Sai Masu Gida.
Joining Maikaba in his coaching staff are Abubakar Abubakar, popularly known as Senior, who will serve as the Chief Coach. Ahmad Garba Yaro Yaro will take on the role of Coach, while Gambo Muhammad will assist as the Assistant Coach. Auwalu Abbas has been assigned as the Goalkeeper trainer.
The unveiling of the new Technical Adviser took place in the office of the Kano State Deputy Governor, Comrade Aminu AbdulSalam Gwarzo. During the ceremony, Gwarzo urged Maikaba to tighten his belt and work towards reviving the glory of the club. The Deputy Governor also congratulated Maikaba on his appointment, highlighting his extensive experience in coaching various football clubs throughout the country.
Gwarzo assured the team of the state government’s continued support, both morally and financially, in order to help achieve their objectives. He also announced that plans were underway to renovate the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kofar Mata, Kano.
Expressing appreciation for the hard work of the club’s management and players, Gwarzo commended their efforts, which resulted in the club’s return to the Nigeria Professional Football League. He also extended his gratitude to the supporters of the club and the people of Kano State for their unwavering support and prayers, urging them to continue their support.
Alhaji Babangida Umar Little, the Chairman of Kano Pillars, emphasized that Maikaba’s appointment was based on merit and expressed confidence in his ability to move the club forward.
