Man City Prepare Bid For West Ham Captain, Rice

Premier League champions, Manchester City, are looking to add some midfield strength to their team with the possible acquisition of West Ham captain Declan Rice in this summer transfer window. Manchester City is keen on Rice following IIkay Gundogan’s transfer to Barcelona.

The transfer negotiations between West Ham and Manchester City are ongoing, according to Sky Sports. West Ham United has set the asking price for the midfielder at £120 million. Rice has also been linked to Arsenal and Manchester United this summer with Arsenal reportedly having two bids turned down by the Hammers.

Rice was in great form last season, netting four times and providing two assists in 37 Premier League games. His performances were instrumental in leading West Ham to win the 2022/23 UEFA Europa Conference League. Rice captained the Hammers to victory and finished in 14th position with 40 points after 38 matches.

Manchester City finished the 2022/23 Premier League season in first position with 89 points from 38 games. They are now looking to bolster their midfield options with the possible signing of Rice. In football, midfielders play a crucial role in the game as they are responsible for dictating the pace and flow of the game. They are also the link between the defence and the attack, making them vital in any team’s success.

In conclusion, the possible acquisition of Declan Rice by Manchester City will undoubtedly strengthen their midfield options. Rice’s leadership qualities, technical ability, and tactical awareness make him an ideal candidate for the Manchester City team. It remains to be seen whether West Ham will agree to the asking price, but if the deal goes through, it will be interesting to see how Rice adapts to playing for one of the best teams in the world.
