Nagelsmann makes Osimhen request as PSG moves nears conclusion

German coach Julian Nagelsmann is set to take over as the new manager of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), and he has already identified Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen as his top transfer target, according to Soccernet.ng.

PSG had a disappointing season under former manager Christophe Galtier, failing to make an impact in the Champions League and winning only the Ligue 1 title. Galtier has since left the club, and Nagelsmann is among the favorites to take over as the new manager.

According to RPN per Napoli Magazine, Nagelsmann has informed the PSG hierarchy that he wants Osimhen to be his first signing. The Nigerian striker has been in impressive form for Napoli, scoring 31 goals in all competitions this season, and has attracted interest from top clubs across Europe, including Manchester United, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, and Real Madrid.

However, Napoli are known to be reluctant to sell their best players, and Osimhen could command a fee of up to €150 million from potential suitors.

If Nagelsmann is able to land Osimhen, it would be a significant coup for PSG. The Nigerian striker is a dynamic and versatile forward who could provide a much-needed boost to PSG’s attack, which has struggled at times this season.

Overall, it remains to be seen whether Nagelsmann will be able to secure Osimhen’s signature, but if he does, it could be a major statement of intent from PSG ahead of the new season.
