Photos: Nigerian Prodigy radiates joy and playfulness in pre-season training

Nigerian forward Gift Orban, who was snubbed by Super Eagles’ head coach Jose Peseiro in his 23-man list, is enjoying his time with K.A.A Gent players during their training sessions as they prepare for the new season. Orban, who made headlines last season with the fastest hat trick in European club competitions, seems to be relishing his time in Belgium.

Despite his impressive performance in European competitions, Orban was overlooked for a national team call-up. However, he remains undeterred and has returned to training with his club, focusing on his second season in Belgium.

Recently, K.A.A Gent shared some photos on their Instagram account, showcasing Orban in high spirits. The pictures capture him with a smiling face, enjoying the company of one of the club’s coaching staff, and displaying his skills on the pitch.

Last season was a breakthrough for Orban, making 22 appearances for his club and scoring an impressive 20 goals, along with providing two assists. His remarkable hat trick in the UEFA Conference League round of 16 played a crucial role in propelling his team to the quarterfinals.

Gent’s pre-season campaign is set to kick off with a match against Belgian amateur side Merelbeke on June 30th, followed by a league fixture against Kortrijk a month later.
