Shooting Stars head coach Gbenga Ogunbote, has assured fans of the team of a better performance next season.
Speaking at a press briefing held on Monday at 3SC Club house, Ogunbote said the Oluyole Warriors would make a statement in the next Nigeria Premier League season.
Ogunbote, known for his tactical prowess on the field, understands the disappointment that came with the team’s absence in the Super 6 tournament held in Lagos. Enyimba emerged as the league winners, leaving the Shooting Stars to regroup and reflect on their shortcomings.
However, the determined coach revealed that the team has retained 18 players from last season’s squad and has also promoted five players from their talented Team B. With this mix of experienced players and fresh talent, Ogunbote is confident that they can turn things around in the upcoming season.
“I want to assure our fans and the people of Oyo State that we will represent them well next season and bring joy to their faces,” Ogunbote passionately expressed.
