Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, recently visited the town where he grew up before becoming a household name in Europe. The Napoli forward was seen visiting school students in Oregun, Lagos, to meet old friends, embrace the community, and put a smile on the faces of the students he met.
After a successful season playing for Naples and fulfilling his commitments with the national team, Victor Osimhen returned to his roots. He didn’t hesitate to share images of his visit on his social media handle, expressing love and appreciation for his community.
The former LOSC Lille star was born in Lagos and grew up around Ojota, where he started playing football as a kid. He represented the country at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in 2015 and claimed the highest goal scorer award while lifting the trophy.
In a video, the 2022-23 Serie A top scorer also visited some of his old friends and the old field where he played before embarking on his European journey. Despite being linked with a move to some elite clubs in Europe, Victor Osimhen is still passionate about giving back to his country and expressing his love for Nigeria.
